Week One – Short breakdown: HONEST IT IS ....... JUST LOOKS LOTS!!
Sorry peeps probably more for my benefit than yours
To help with the boredom – as feeling ok at the moment
Summat too look back on in the future
also if the entry is that boring it might help me sleep lol or you :-)
DAY 1 – SATURDAY 17TH OCTOBER 2009 - Chemo
DAY 2 – SUNDAY 18TH OCTOBER 2009 - Chemo
DAY 3 – MONDAY 19TH OCTOBER 2009 - ATG DAY – the rabbit stuff, no initial reaction, that followed.
More chemo – yeah I know repetitive aint it lol
Day 4 – TUESDAY 20TH OCTOBER 2009 - ATG – RABBIT DAY 2, had a slight reaction, temperature, feeling unwell for a good few hours but soon passed.
Carol popped up to see me briefly as poorly and Michael came to visiting in the evening so all in all turned into a good day.
DAY 5 WEDNESDAY 21ST OCTOBER 2009 - Met Lisa outside visiting hours downstairs had a wicked hour or so having coffee n McD’s for lunch (well it is in the same road so considered ‘on site’ well is in my eyes).
DAY 6 – THURSDAY 22ND OCOBER 2009 - Lots of lots of peeing thanx to the meds, as managed to gain almost a stone and a half due to fluid retention (fat cow)!
DAY 7 – FRIDAY 23RD OCTOBER 2009 (NOW DAY ZERO – LOL)
STEM CELL REPLACEMENT DAY – MY NEW BIRTHDAY
All went well and continues to do so.
I did manage to get a couple of hours (literally 2!) free in the morning so I was really bad!
I jumped in a cab outside popped home n had a HUGEEEEEEEEE squeeze of my boys – quick coffee with Carol n Shelia and popped to Tesco and came back to the hospital for my Stem cell replacement (given via IV drip)in the afternoon.
I think I could have got away with it but I could not resist the urge to purchase some Krispy Kreme donuts for the ward and the day unit – I think that was when they began to enquire as to where have you been?? lol – but hey – I think I got away with it lol.
So now we just sit back and wait – feeling ok but any day from today to next weekend all my blood counts will start to drop I shall be very unwell and get neutropenic (i.e. no immune system and in isolation and very open to infection anf just generally feeling like sh**e!)
Then it is just a case of getting over that waiting for the bloods to slowly rise and start to climb the ladder back up.
Its not gonna be easy I doubt but hey I am in wonderful hands I have you all out there routing for me – and HEY I GOT 2 BIRTHDAYS Now! …………… NUFF SAID LOL
Lovin ya all

*Tut Tut* you just can't be trusted can you? You have to flount the rules ... firstly McD's ... how bloody dare you, do you know how long it is since i had one of those?! And then jumping in a cab! You seriously need you legs slapping LOL ... clearly you were having a Peter Pan moment!
I'm so pleased that everything is going well, don't like the idea of the blood count dropping ... can't we just miss that bit out and fast forward to the all better part?!
Sending hugs to Carol and hoping she's feeling better now too.
Big hugs hunny bunny
